So I indulge them, "wow that's amazing, tell me more about how all advances in Civilisation belong to white people".
And they start "Well back 200,000 years ago..."
"Oohh I'm going to have to stop you right there mate. Did you say 200,000? I would like you to explain how all Civilisation comes from white people, without the use of Arabic numerals please."

@selzero Saint Brendan? Well, at one point we thought that the stories of Vikings going to the Americas were myths too. But it is quite unlikely that Brendan would have been able to cross the Atlantic in a curragh.
@ArtHarg no they think it happened before the native Americans arrived and use it as a racist claim to the continent.
