talked to someone the other day, who after years of using linux, bought a macbook

without judgement, i sympathized that it must be nice to have a machine that 'always works'

they told me that they actually face roughly as many issues as they did using linux! however, now when they face an issue, they know there is *nothing they can do*, so they just move on

@douginamug the days that macos had a major leap over linux abd windows are long gone. Most important things macos still has is application support and seamless hardware integration. Still nice. But not as big a gap than say in 2005 or 2015.
