I am going to do more walking. I need exercise. I am getting fat. I shall begin by walking down to the store this morning and buying some ice cream.

But still, I play, and still, I yearn.

Achievements were once gruely earned,
Now they are trophies quickly churned.
No steps to climb, no battles won,
Just clicks and buys, without a challenge done.

In days of old, each goal was true,
Victory came from struggling through.
Yet something's lost in earning fast—
A pride that comes with bosses passed.

In open worlds, I roam afar,
Yet still I chase that distant star.
A perfect score—my phantom quest,
Slips away—never to be possessed.

It’s made me scream, rage, and quit—
I’ve sworn aloud, “I’m through with it!”
But deep inside, we know the truth:
I’ll respawn—and embrace my youth.
