@bammerlaan@mastodon.nlHow do we get the #musicians to join the #Fediverse? I've tried to convince my colleagues to join #Pixelfed or #Mastodon, but haven't had much success. It is a community that can be surprisingly reluctant to embrace something different, digitally. (Also see: Apple products.)
They can also be quite ethically conscious people, so I've tried to approach it from that angle, but... Is there a succinct list of convincing arguments anywhere to help with these things?
Maybe something like Bandwagon (https://bandwagon.fm) or Funkwhale (https://www.funkwhale.audio) would be more interresting to them, since they have a focus on music instead of being generic social media sites?
@DreamGryphon Mmm... Maybe. But it's specifically an unwillingness to move away from Instagram and Facebook. I've had the argument that bookers and stuff are only on Instagram and that they're not looking for extra social media to have to maintain.
Which is understandable, of course, but still very frustrating
