this multicolor oversaturation with so much blue and red reminds me a lot of XP. at least in xp you could reenable windows 2000 boring gunmetal grey corporate theme in like three clicks. i don’t see any setting in 11.x to disable happy curvy cotton candy sugar factory colonel sweeto mode

slash : 100 Days in Obsidian.

In Big Sur Apple decided to exempt many of its apps from being routed thru the frameworks they now require 3rd-party firewalls to use (LuLu, Little Snitch, etc.) 🧐

Q: Could this be (ab)used by malware to also bypass such firewalls? 🤔

A: Apparently yes, and trivially so 😬😱😭

SCP: Overlord

Aside: SCP is such a cool project. I don't think there's any other collaborative work of fiction which is anywhere near its level.

"These machines are the first general purpose computers ever where you have to make an exclusive choice: you can have a fast and efficient machine, or you can have a private one... Short of using an external network filtering device like a travel/vpn router that you can totally control, there will be no way to boot any OS on the new Apple Silicon macs that won’t phone home, and you can’t modify the OS to prevent this."
