@abloo @TheClonerx boooo i am sure people who use suckless are fine with it.

The rest of us can use other things.

Added benefit: suckless actually provides good starting points to code stuff from.

browsing with NoScript really is something else. in awe at the number of sites that have literally NOTHING to show you unless you turn on JavaScript, not even a warning that "this website only works with JavaScript"

Currently reading: Make Time: How to focus on what matters every day by Jake Knapp and John Zeratsky 📚 Oof. I’m printing this sentence out and posting it in front of my face.

@GreenandBlack "You can have the most advanced forces in the world – but if you are never prepared to use them – of what use are they?"

Unfortunately pretty much admittedly for offense, and outside a UN context.

On the plus side, knitters.

Yes, i have seen too many ads on TV again.

Maybe if we make products bullshit enough, they'll become all self-image and emotions, and the economy will finally dematerialize, so our society can finally be sustainable.

Do you have such places in your country? If yes, tell your country in comments.!file/!id955/!

@pzmyers also bit weary of comparisons of current events with that history. The prison labor thing is just current. (and it does destroy lives even if it isn't extermination in the same way)

@pzmyers could try elaborate on things that make Zeiss look less/more complicit, or the current Zeiss less/more attributable to that of the past.. but I think the guy about companies currently using prison labor has a good point.

World’s Largest #CarbonCapture Plant Switched On In #Iceland

A machine capable of removing 4,000 tons of CO2 from the air each year

Hmm, we emmit approx. 1337 t #CO2 per SECOND...

...that means with this plant we can remove ~3 seconds of current #emissions in ONE YEAR.
In other words: this plant removes 0,13 kg CO2 per second....

... that means we need additional 10.540.908 of these plants ... to remove current emissions.
