Em
Hi, I seem to be the former @CatFoxBirdLady. 'Seem to be' less in an identity-crisis and more in a "where tf did creativewriting.social go" sense.
Since the instance is gone (for now?) I can't import* anything but I am looking to recreating my account.

*at least that's how it seems

Em
#WritersCoffeeClub April 9: How much room for the fantastical is there in your work?

Current WIP: Barely any. The bunch of demons running around are not part of a supernatural society because there is none. They are aberrations, like Mephisto in Faust, but much unhappier.
Usually it's more.

It's not quite as extreme yet as it will be a few decades in the future, with a morning and evening post, but we are getting there.

It's all right, I do not mind.

Or do they fall somewhere in the middle?

The SC cast is large and covers the entire spectrum, though the original SCs, who are MC's younger siblings, are are all on the extravert end.

Em
#PennedPossibilities 636 — Are your characters superstitious?

#WordWeavers 4/6. SC POV: Are you capable of killing a person?

(These two complement each other nicely, at least for me.)

Superstitious: Nope, none of them. At the same time most of them could never consider, let alone answer, the second question honestly.

Much as I adore my cast, the lack of superstition has the same explanation as that dishonesty, and that is that they comply* with expectations.

*or think they do

Em
#WritersCoffeeClub April 6. Do you edit while writing, or go wild and fix it later?

Yes. Let me elaborate, using the WIP as an example:
The first 1.2 drafts were "just write something that seems to be pointing into the right direction for now", then the current mode took over. That being "looking at the paragraph I just wrote and knowing it somehow will, several chapters down, prove to have been a bad choice".
