Even before Trump has been inaugurated, he has managed to drive the US so far off course, Putin’s propaganda medium RT is using his behavior to portray The Kremlin as the moderates in comparison.
Trump is a serious danger to world security, and the sooner Europe realizes the US is paralyzed for the foreseeable future, the sooner we can organize the democratic countries to stop Putin ourselves.
NATO minus 1 is still vastly more powerful than the country which cannot defeat Ukraine.

Right now it's just Trump and the sensationalizing press. He says nonsense, they repeat it indefinitely. Nothing else is happening.
Soon his nonsense will encounter Congress, where he has a number of sycophants who'll vote for whatever he wants, and most who won't vote themselves out of office. Both houses are very evenly split, so the quagmire will begin. That will give the press more to talk about than just the ranting of an aging con man.

Trump is the con artist on the commuter train doing the three card monte or the shell game. And the journos are the suckers breathlessly convinced they are reporting on an actual event, while they are being fleeced.
Panama, Canada, Gulf, Greenland, crazy talk about fires...all distractions. None of it is real.
Trump promised he'd easily lower the grocery prices Biden couldn't. Gas, eggs, and bacon. Childcare would be free. Healthcare cheaper and better. He's mass deport millions. Everyone would be richer. Tariffs at 100% or 200% on China. Canada, Mexico. He'd eliminate the debt, cut 2 trillion on spending. He'd get the US out of all foreign wars. He is the peace candidate. All easy. Because he's a genius.
Just like he promised he'd close the border in 2016, and build a wall and Mexico'd pay for it.
Meanwhile after 4 years, he did NONE of it. After promising "I, alone, can do it." He lied, failed, and the public got their news from the suckers getting conned by the criminal playing three card monte.

I don't think trump can lower gas prices where I live. There's been a gas war raging in Aggieland for about a yr. It's been a big deal. Currently, HEB gas is at $2.33/gal. regular unleaded. Thanks, Joe Biden.

@randahl I would like to add a point of view that is kind of forgotten in this context.
Trump pulling USA out of NATO or even better, Trump causing military conflict between USA and other NATO country is a dream scenario for China (not necessarily for Russia) China already started sending messages that their conflict with USA should not worsen their relations with the EU.
Just imagine, USA taking Greenland and China standing on the EU side.

@randahl Imagine, in case of conflict between the EU and the USA, China offers to stop Russia (they can easily do; without all the goods coming from China, Russia will collapse) just for the promise to give them free hand in Asia. Terrible choice and I hope it will never happen, but remember, Churchill agreed to cooperate with USSR...
