I was taught that my experiences are a symptom, something to be cured. That caused a lot of distress.

At the edge of the abyss, I heard Hekate rather bluntly say 'no'. Like a drop of ink in water, I could suddenly see her. They had it backwards, my experiences weren't what was causing me such distress, my denial of it was.

I've since embraced the symbolism heavy way of dealing with existence.
